Your New Role

The Quality Supervisor is required to take a lead role within the quality department. Key tasks are related to day to day management of all quality and production related aspects of product verification, the development and launch of new products, drive continuous improvement, and reduction in quality costs. Additional responsibilities related to leadership of Quality department and ensuring conformance to all customer and IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements. 

As a Quality Supervisor you will

• Directly or indirectly oversees the functions of approximately 30 persons within the quality weld verification, dimensional, production support, and engineering functions
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong liaison and communication skills within MEVS, Customer and Supply base
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate cross-functional team meetings
• Demonstrates urgency and the ability to work to meet deadlines and multiple demands
• Ability to uphold confidentiality
• Demonstrates the ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Advanced Knowledge of customer and ISO9001:2015 / IATF16949: 2016 requirements
• Advanced Knowledge of B.I.W. part to part build up process
• Experience with destruct testing, measurement and metrology methods of inspection
• Advanced Knowledge in Quality systems development
• Complies with relevant Quality and Environmental programs (e.g. IATF 16949, ISO14001)
• Complies with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA. Follows and ensures Company procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed
• Act as a champion/decision maker for quality related issues within the scope of responsibility
• Maintain a thorough understanding of customer product and engineering specifications
• Lead all program launch activities from the quality perspective
• Lead and coordinate tasks/responsibilities to production personnel regarding Quality issues.
• Train and mentor quality and production personnel as required (Customer requirements, etc.)

What you will need to succeed in this role

• At least ten (10) years in a Quality automotive manufacturing environment with knowledge in welding, assembly, stamping processes.
• Computer proficiency is required.
• Prior experience implementing IATF 16949 procedures, APQP, PPAP submissions, GD&T, Flow Diagrams, FMEA’s , Control Plans, Statistics, fixture Development and independent work with tooling subcontractors.
• Experience with destruct testing, measurement and metrology methods of inspection.
• Experience managing internal teams to improve production related issues.
• Experience managing suppliers and related supplier issues.•    Advanced Knowledge in Quality systems development, QSB+, BIQS systems.
• Knowledge of B.I.W. part to part build up process.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic measurement tools (height gauge, vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, indicator, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis using various problem solving techniques including Drill Deep, 8D, 5 Phase.
