CCM is in search of part-time bus drivers to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule by performing the following duties:
- Obtains assignment from Dispatcher at the start of shift
- Performs pre and post trips, to include: walking around the bus to observe any visual defects and checking operating systems, brakes, horn, windshield wipers, lights, first-aid kits, emergency flashers, and door-opening devices, checks gas, oil and water before starting trip
- Picks up and discharges at bus, following assigned company service route and safety rules. Checks interior of bus at end of shift for any forgotten personal items and removes any large waste items
- Complies with local traffic regulations
- Reports delays, accidents, and emergency conditions to dispatcher via mobile radio. Assists injured persons with first aid kit if necessary. Completes incident/accident reports as necessary.
- Helps elderly or disabled persons to enter and exit the bus via lift mechanism
- Collects fares. Answers questions about fares, routes and service
- Completes driver log at completion of shift, noting any safety items, customer complaints or comments. Returns log, tickets and money to dispatch office
- May be assigned to switch buses around yard or move buses in and out of maintenance line
- Performs other duties as assigned
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
CDL C with Passenger (P) Endorsement, Criminal Background Check, Medical Examiner's Certificate
Physical Demands:
Candidates must pass a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing upon conditional offer of employment. Current employees are required to pass driver physical and random testing in order to maintain Medical Card.
