Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the you will be responsible for all recruiting activities in an assigned territory, including school visits, college fairs, on-campus events and communication with students and parents.
You will develop strong working relationships with high school counselors, college access organizations, and other partners in their assigned territory.
In collaboration with the Admissions leadership, the you will develop a recruiting plan for your territory and will be responsible for meeting the application and enrollment goals stated in that plan.
Responsibilities*
Build and strengthen relationships with schools in an assigned territory to increase application volume and yield. Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective students, parents, and other key stakeholders.
Represent UM - Flint at college fairs, school visits, and community and alumni functions. Coordinate visitation and travel to yielding high schools and/or community colleges. Exercise significant discretion and independent judgment in developing and modifying a travel schedule, within an assigned territory, to meet the University's enrollment goals.
Communicate with students, parents, school officials and other partners in an assigned recruiting territory.
Advise students and parents on the admissions process, educational opportunities, and academic requirements at UM - Flint. Interpret university admissions policies and procedures.
Provide liaison services to other UM - Flint offices including Financial Aid, Housing & Residential Life, the Student Success Center, the Promise Scholar Program, and the university's schools and colleges. Represent UM - Flint's Office of Undergraduate Admissions at professional meetings and regional workshops.
Work with the Admissions Processing team to support process and document flow. Make consistent recommendations abiding by UM Flint and specific school/college guidelines.

Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
One or more years of experience in higher education, sales, marketing, or another field related to recruiting.

Hybrid: A consistent hybrid work schedule (some days on campus and some days working remotely) is available for this position at this time. However, this is subject to change based upon the duties of the position and the needs of the department.
