REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Associate Degree, or three to five years of related experience and/or training… or a combination of both education and experience.
Communication: Must have the ability to read, write, follow simple instructions, and address correspondence, and memos. Be able to effectively present information one-on-one or in small group situations with parties both inside and outside the company.
Leadership Strengths: Must have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Have the ability to resolve issues that arise both inside and outside the facility…able to handle all situations in a professional manner.
Physical: Ability to lift 50 pounds, and move 100 pounds. Be able to climb ladders, unload pallets of inventory, and reset gondolas, bins, shelving units and hanging inventory. Must also be able to assist with store upkeep (cleaning).
Supervisory: Must be able to manage a variety of tasks, situations, and people throughout the facility. Responsible for the overall direction, training, coordination, and evaluation of all associates supervised. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, motivations, and disciplinary actions for those under your supervision. Planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates…addressing and resolving issues as they arise.
Work Environment: Store Managers need to provide a safe and hostile free work environment that fosters a productive atmosphere of cooperation. They may be occasionally exposed to construction debris, dust and dirt.
