Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location: Allegan, MI - Hybrid
Salary: $22/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Contract Type: Long Term Temporary

Kelly Services has partnered with a local pharmaceutical company that is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team. This candidate will perform clerical accounting functions of moderate difficulty pertaining to invoicing and cash application to customer balances, filing, organizing, and other related functions. Responsibilities:
Assembly of information and document preparation to issue unsaleable and customer return authorizations in a timely and accurate manner. The numbers change depending on the volume of business. Reconcile adjustments and suggest corrective action if needed.
Performs weekly and month-end accounts receivable general ledger balancing in an accurate and timely manner.
Analyze and balance general ledger AR accounts, AR write-off/write-ins.
Applies customer remittances to outstanding receivable balances.
Performs research to resolve discrepancies and disputes with customers.
Maintain documentation of collection efforts and attempts to resolve deductions through written documentation with customers.
Prepare, process and enter in SAP customer deductions by leveraging standardized work in accordance with company policies and procedures. This work is repetitive, and rules driven.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or Vocational qualification, with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
Requires thorough understanding and knowledge of invoicing procedures, unsaleables, chargebacks, system data, cash application, and credit & collection techniques.
Computer literacy and expertise with spreadsheets, database and word processing software, and automated accounting systems. Experience with Excel, Word, and SAP is required.
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, demonstrated teamwork, flexibility and adaptability are essential to this position.
Position requires good math skills and demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies in accounting reports.
