Description:
Operates positron emissions tomography/computerized tomography (PET/CT) imaging equipment and injector and prepares radiopharmaceuticals for PET/CT imaging studies to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed practitioner. This role will also work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Nuclear Medicine for a significant amount of time.

What the PET-CT will need:
Minimum Associate degree in Applied Science in Nuclear Medicine required.
Minimum Current CNMT or ARRT(N) registry with 20 hours of documented CT training (only 10 can be on the job). At least two of these credits must be in CT. Must maintain continuing education credits per biennium to retain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services.
CT certification (ARRT) and current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
Preferred Registry in PET
Preferred One year PET/CT experience preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum Knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
