Position Summary
The Engineer II is responsible for Process & Mechanical Engineering design of Industrial Water Treatment Products and Systems and will work in cross functional teams as well as perform work as an individual. This individual is responsible for moderate to advanced complex projects and configuration of customer solutions of moderate to advanced complexity. Focal areas will include piping design, tank design, vessel design, sizing and selecting pumps, sizing and selecting valves, and selecting analytical equipment to support process design. The candidate will work directly with 3D design to develop virtual assemblies of skid mounted equipment.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks
Piping design, tank design, vessel design, sizing and selecting pumps, sizing and selecting valves, and selecting analytical equipment to support process design.
Work directly with 3D design to develop virtual assemblies of skid mounted equipment.
Working with other departments and outside vendors to specify components for Purchasing, and define Manufacturing requirements
Interface with customer representatives on technical issues
Support realization of equipment designs.
Utilize SAP for loading and releasing Bills of Materials.

Independent execution of assigned tasks.

Ability to review work for quality and specification requirements.

Position Requirements
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
BS/BA degree in Eng
2-5 yrs. of experience
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of fluid mechanics (water specific) including: pump curve analysis, piping system pressure drop analysis, and material compatibility.
Perform Engineering Design calculations and have working knowledge of industrial codes for; ASME B31.1, Power Piping, ASME B31.3, Process Piping and ASME Section VIII, Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code
Knowledge of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Able to execute individual tasks and lead mechanical project team.
Water treatment process knowledge is an asset
SAP business system experience also an asset.
