Construction Laborer Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license to operate heavy machinery or company vehicles
- High school diploma or equivalent (or actively achieving)
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to pick up an 80 lb. bag of mortar
- Ability to work in all weather
- Workers must be punctual and reliable
- Must have experience as a general laborer in the construction industry
- Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team
- Must have reliable transportation to and from various job sites/locations
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
