Job Summary
Provides day-to-day direction to direct care staff in Independent and Assisted Living settings and administrative support to the Administrator, as well as individual nursing care services to residents.
Duties and Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day direction and leadership to Resident Assistants. Partner with Administrator and Human Resources in hiring, onboarding, coaching and counseling and performance management. Assist with coordinating training programs for nurses and resident assistants. Ensure delegation of responsibility, authority and accountability.

Collaborate with scheduler to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts. Monitor staffing levels to meet resident needs. Perform nursing duties as required including, providing direct nursing care as necessary.

Participate in daily rounds with physicians and other health care providers to observe residents and to determine needs are being met; notify Administrator with matters of concern.

Review direct care worker notes to ensure they are informative and descriptive of the care provided and reflects residents' responses.

Participate in resident care conferences. Ensure Care Plans are updated and Point of Care is reflective of care needs.

Perform administrative functions to support the Assisted Living program. Provide direct oversight of service plans for Independent Residents.

Complete and distribute all required documentation, including but not limited to medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charts as directed by physicians/management; complete audits as directed.

Monitor nursing care for Quality Assurance compliance and report to the Administrator on a timely and consistent basis.
Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan.
Experience
- One year experience in a nursing field; geriatric setting preferred.
