$15 per hour plus 0.85 per hour essential worker bonus
Provide quality food and beverages to residents, visitors, employees and apartment tenants, ensuring proper safety and sanitation guidelines are used in the food service department and dining rooms. Ability to maintain, clean and sanitize work environment.
Performance Criteria: Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Ability to follow instructions from cook/food service supervisor for preparation and service of foods. Ability to check menus and diet spreadsheets. Ability to demonstrate portion control and appropriate items for meal and snack service. Ability to fill out daily production and cleaning sheets.Ability to read and follow standardized quantity recipes. Ability to meet time frames of preparation and service of foods to residents.Ensure proper food temperatures are held to so bacteria growth is prohibited. Ensure all pots, pans, utensils, glasses and dishes are cleaned and sanitized and stored properly.Clean and sanitize all equipment used daily. Ability to assist co-workers in general sanitation and dishwashing throughout the department. Ability to sweep and mop floors. Collect trash and dispose of it in outdoor trash dumpsters. Keep work areas neat and clean. Know the purpose and location of SDS manuals. Ability to assist residents in dining rooms in a prompt, friendly and polite manner.
Complete mandatory inservice education as assigned, minimum 12 education hours annually.
Other duties as assigned by the dietary supervisor or person in charge.
