Boat Pattern Maker and Installer of Canvas and Cushions
DESCRIPTION:
Custom Marine Canvas Maker, The Canvas Company is seeking an experienced professional who can do patterning, sewing, and boat-side installation of custom canvas products. The successful candidate will be familiar with tools, power tools, and comfortable with use of a ladder. Experience using a commercial sewing machine is of prime interest.

Many of our customers were established over twenty five years ago and are accustomed to the level of friendly and accommodating customer service that we offer. It can not be stressed enough as to the importance in this role of superior customer care, to have the highest level of sales & service professionalism, and enduring patience.
The Canvas Company is located in Interlochen, but serves the following areas in Northern Michigan: Frankfort/Elberta, Benzonia, Interlochen, Traverse City, Harbor Springs, Petosky, and Mackinaw City. Some travel will be required for the installation of completed projects. Mileage will be reimbursed at the published state rate.
REQUIREMENTS:

Current driver's license

Personal reliable vehicle for installations when deemed necessary with valid insurance

High School Diploma or equivalent
- Year round work

40 hours per week with overtime as approved at time-and-a-half

Most work is Monday through Friday however, this is a very busy shop and there will be times when you are asked to work beyond normal business hours to keep a project on schedule, make appointments when the client is available, and meet installation deadlines, etc.
COMPENSATION:

$18-$25 per hour based on experience and reliability, initial offer will include a 90-day review

PTO provided after 90-days of successful performance
