Lead development and reporting of Overall Body Shop Layout Efficiency (Lean Layout) metrics, thru
Lead facility layout development and associated cost estimating for PCC/Q-Form product changes including coordinating with the program/project Facility Implementation Supervisor, Post thru
New Model Program/Project Financial Management:
Lead PCAM/PFR for initial Long Lead Funds and final balance of the New Model Program Project Request Allocation
Lead PCAM/PFR for PCC/Q-Form Project Request Allocation
Support BCE Facility Implementation Team with execution of PARs to the Plant
Support BCE Facility Implementation Team with funding transfers for re-allocation due to Program Change Requests
Support BCE Facility Implementation Team with funding allocation for Conveyor and related Facilities Integrator/Installation PO's
Non-Product Program/Project Financial Management:
Support Production/Maintenance Optimization Team with Plant Project review/approval related to integration with new model programs
Support Production/Maintenance Optimization Team with development of 5-Year Non-Prod Project Business Plan related to integration with new model programs
Support Production/Maintenance Optimization Team with development of Equipment Re-Use and Management Plan related to integration with new model programs
New Model Program Status Tracking and Master Schedule:
Lead development of initial Conveyors and related Facilities Integration/Installation Milestone Schedule, thru
Support BCE Facility Implementation Team with development of initial Conveyors and related Facilities Integration/Installation MS Project Schedule, post
Conveyors and Facilities Procurement and Project Implementation/Execution:
Support BCE Facility Implementation Team with development of bid specifications and clarification leading to PO Award for Conveyor and related Facilities Integrator/Installation
Support BCE Facility Implementation Team with VA/VE process
Support Mechanical Standards Engineer with development of environmental "sustainability" action items
Support the BCE Body Leader as regards to facility layout and planning issues resolution
Conveyors and Facilities On-Going Support:
Support Production/Maintenance Optimization Team by providing "as needed" emergency support for current model production tooling and conveyors breakdown response, root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up
Conveyors and Facilities Mechanical Standards:
Support Mechanical Standards Engineer by providing "lessons learned" feed-back for mechanical standards/specifications updates
Support Mechanical Standards Engineer by providing "lessons learned" feed-back for preventive maintenance standards/specifications updates
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent engineering discipline
Experience performing mechanical system engineering analysis, layout and detail design of conveyance/ automation systems, tool related utility services and general building facilities typically used in manufacturing/assembly facilities; automotive assembly/stamping plant experience preferred
Basic working knowledge of Ford Motor Company standards and specifications related to manufacturing and assembly conveyance/ automation systems, tool related utility services and general building facilities layout and design
Basic working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles as applied to manufacturing/assembly plants, including development of performance/compliance metrics
Basic working knowledge of discreet event simulation as applied to manufacturing/assembly plants with emphasis on providing proper input data and interpreting simulation results
Basic working knowledge regarding the use of financial/cost systems and methods used to develop and track budgetary estimates for conveyors and related facilities; e.g., PCAM, PFR, CPARS, etc.
Basic understanding and working knowledge of CPARS system used to initiate PO/CR and approve invoices for manufacturing/assembly equipment
Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD software for plant layout
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office software applications; i.e., MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Basic working knowledge of MS Project planning software for execution of manufacturing equipment and building system projects
Basic working knowledge of failure mode analysis techniques, processes and tools; e.g., Global 8D, FMEA, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening and feedback
Ability to work independently, in a team environment, with minimal supervision
Ability to travel to all Ford North America plants; i.e., USA, Canada and Mexico
