Responsibilities:
Mentor Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work.
Optimize efficiency in accordance with budgets and cost objectives.
Analyze area performance and work to improve efficiencies; actively participate in Constraint Review Process.
Drive Continuous Improvement through a focused maintenance program designed to reduce scrap and ensure reliability of error-proofing devices.
Maintain equipment, automation, and tooling in a state of compliance with specifications, fit, form, and contamination standards.
Lead skilled and non-skilled team to maintain and improve production yields, throughput, and up time.
Support Kaizens (Continuous Improvement) and mentor problem resolution to the lowest level
Meet First Time Through, inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets.
Build Team Leader and Team Member capability.
Handle basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents.
Work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends.
Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput.
The minimum requirements we seek:
2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent technical experience.
1+ years Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
Our preferred requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Management
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and administrative skills
Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict leadership skills
Knowledge of Body shop /stamping / subassembly, or manufacturing assembly and machining
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
Safety and MP&L experience preferred
Knowledge of constraint management principles
