Job Requirements
The Global Growth Leader is responsible for all aspects of identifying new opportunities, qualifying the fit for Alkegen in worldwide markets and bringing those products to full commercialization with customers. This includes identifying the market need for new products, determining development requirements to capture these new opportunities and engaging with customers to conceptualize and purchase. The individual identifies and determines regulatory requirements, opportunity size, competitive products/companies, and Alkegen's ability to successfully compete in specific opportunities.
The Global Growth Leader is also responsible for evaluating new market and business opportunities and conducting market research in specific market segments and makes recommendation(s) to senior management regarding the strategy to pursue a new market. This recommendation should include, but not be limited to defining product R & D requirements, providing a potential acquisition candidate, or a potential joint development partner. These recommendations should be provided in an action/capture plan which details actions and resources required to capture new opportunities. The individual will then see the plan through initial commercialization and sales.
Responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and prioritize new market opportunities on a worldwide basis through market research and customer engagements.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, market requirements, competitive products, market size, and growth rates for new market opportunities.
Identify related products, partners, or acquisition targets that represent attractive opportunities for Alkegen.
Provide detailed market research, recommendations, and action plans to management regarding potential for product/application growth. Execute the initial phases of those plans with customers.
Engage with customers of all sizes to assess and commercialize agreed to new products and/or enhance the commercialization of current products.
Train distributor and internal personnel after commercialization of new product/application opportunities.
Write and execute strategy development for Global Sealing Growth Strategy using the market development and commercialization of opportunities processes outlined above.
Budget management.
Manage a team of direct reports.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors' degree and a minimum of eight years of broad business development experience including experience in product management.
Previous people management experience.
Well-developed financial acumen
Experience in new business development.
