Hillsdale College is looking for a detail oriented person to join our team as a Technical Project Manager. The responsibilities include managing timelines, budgets, and scopes of multiple projects. Other key elements
will include clear communication skills, managing client expectations, and change management. The best candidate will have an above average understanding of technology, project management experience, and ability to work well with others.
Lead customers through the college's process to determine the requirements of projects and work with the business and technical experts to develop relevant solutions.
Work with clients and others to help assign value to projects and realistic project timelines. Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using a variety of techniques to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of project changes.
Guide the team and customers in maintaining project timelines by effectively and regularly communicating project status to customers.
Maintain multiple projects through completion and be comfortable with moving between them.
Train customers on how to participate in projects and the value of project management.
Continuously expand understanding of new technologies and project management techniques.Staying trained and current with developments in the technical project management profession.
Participate with the technical project management team to identify areas that would benefit from additional process development, tools, systems and project management oversight.
Clearly communicate project status to customers through accurate and timely reporting that is written in a manner that will communicate to customers in a meaningful way.
Providing specific project management support for campus wide strategic initiatives involving multiple departments.
Establish rapport, communicate directly, and problem-solve with project staff and participants, including interacting with sensitivity in conducting project work in varied communities and with individuals who may have different backgrounds, skills, and needs and appropriately distributing tasks and opportunities related to the project.

Education and Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience technical project management. Experience with managing multiple simultaneous technical projects is required. Experience in higher education is desirable. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate the ability to perform the job will be considered.

Understanding of general technology terminology.
Knowledge of Google G Suite and associated apps.
Knowledge of Zoom and other video conferencing technologies.
