Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the production scheduling, material control, material expediting, and data processing activities to insure the manufacture of the Master Schedule on a timely basis within all budget parameters.
What Will You Do? ?

MATERIAL MANAGEMENT:
Supervises and directs the efforts of all personnel involved in production scheduling, material control and expediting, and Data Processing support for Material requirements planning. This includes exempt, office non-exempt, and bargaining unit employees. Participates in all production and Master Schedule meetings to coordinate and resolve materials problems affecting production activities.
Direct through supervisors the expediting, de-expediting and traffic functions of the Production and Material Control department. Confers with general purchasing agents, buyers, and traffic on material delivery problems.
Oversees the process of all materials produced at vendors and other Toro locations to ensure timely deliveries to support the manufacturing schedule. May contact or visit Venders and Purchasing representatives concerning deviated material making recommendations and providing information necessary to initiate corrective action.
Coordinates special projects such as new product, marketing, or engineering pilot builds from a parts standpoint, taking into account all quality and new tooling factors.
Authorizes production by releasing detailed shop schedules based on machine and manpower load analysis, predetermined cycle time requirements, master schedule build requirements, and material availability.
MASTER SCHEDULING:
Ensures the Master Scheduler has all value streams scheduled in an efficient, logical manner that facilitates accepted manufacturing practices. Assures all schedules are accurate and issued in a timely manner.
- Works closely with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Marketing to ensure their requirements are met and maintained regarding product and material availability.
Meets regularly with the above departments regarding changes to the Master Schedule.
MATERIAL PLANNING:
Using the SAP system assures the material required to support the Master Schedule is available. Manage RMWIP inventory to planned numbers. Manage negative inventory and actions to control.
- Ensures the Planning function follows agreed upon parameters regarding purchased volumes, lead times, and delivery dates including service order requirements.
Coordinates the activities required to remedy shortages until resolution.
- Meets yearly with critical vendors as it relates to the above requirements.
WAREHOUSING, RECEIVING AND SHIPPING:
Receives and warehouses material in an accurate and cost-effective manner. Supplies the manufacturing area with material as requested by the Master Schedule. Accounts for accuracy of inventory, lost inventory, and location accuracy through the use of accepted cycle counting procedures.
SERVICE PARTS:
Responsible for all service parts shipments Ensure timely shipments are made to service to accommodate corporate fill rate goals.
OTHER DUTIES:
Ensures that obsolete inventories are properly and timely disposed of using agreed upon budgets and parameters. Coordinates the ISO program within the Materials Department. Promotes technology improvements (bar-coding, EDI, ASN's) within the Materials group. Assures that personnel exhibit the tolerance and respect for one another. Works closely with the Supply Chain group as it relates to vendor selection, certification, and resolving conflicts between actual vendor performance vs. expectation.

What Do You Need? ?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: ?
?? B.S./B.A. Degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting or a related area, plus, a minimum of five years experience with budgeting, production control, inventory control, material planning, etc. Strong organizational, interpersonal and team building skills. Must have direct supervisory experience.
