Perform research in the areas of energy life cycle analysis, oil and gas carbon intensity assessment, refinery simulation and optimization, carbon economics, and techno-economic analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
Build energy systems models and perform detailed life cycle analysis (LCA) and techno-economic analysis (TEA) of different petroleum, natural gas, hydrogen, and e-fuel pathways
Lead collaborative research with North American universities and research institutions for increased intellectual property opportunities and future business advancement of ASC or Saudi Aramco
Publish peer-reviewed articles in high impact journals and present at conferences
Maintain and expand working knowledge of applicable software for programming (Matlab, Python, VB Excel, R), data analysis, and visualization
Provide and manage a safe, accident-free office environment; follow all company safety rules in performing job duties
Participate in major investigative projects as assigned
Perform other miscellaneous related duties as requested
Education and Experience
Master's Degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Science/Engineering/Physics/Mathematics Discipline as appropriate for the area of expertise for the assigned job
Seven years (7) experience in a substantive industrial, technological or research area relevant to the energy and environmental analysis
Strong publication record in science and engineering journals
Candidate should be comfortable in working independently or part of a project team, frequent project presentation and travel to meetings at conferences and universities
Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette
Must be able to communicate and comprehend English accurately, clearly and concisely at a level required to perform the job as outlined
