Job Description
Essential Functions:
*Provide coverage for multiple automated machines and work stations
*Read and interpret quality information instructions, SPC, inventory movement paperwork, quality assurance and other written documents and perform visual inspection of finished parts
*Notify Quality of any out of spec parts
*Use of measurement instruments and gauges to check work
*Complete inspection documentation
*Recognize defective tooling, machine malfunctions and dimensional deviations
*Enter finished parts in WIMS and place in proper storage location or warehouse
*Use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to set ups and operations within recognized procedures
*Receive stock and issue material with a high degree of accuracy
*Pick orders, prepare paperwork and stage for shipping
*Maintain warehouse shelves and bins and ensure proper labeling
*Assign RFID label to cartons and match corresponding shipset
*Perform a variety of material handling duties, including operation of a hand cart, tow motor or other material handling equipment
*Input and retrieve necessary information from computer
*Complete all daily 5S duties
*Train, instruct and assist trainees throughout the training period
*Assist in any other support functions assigned by Supervisor or Management
*Perform these and all other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management
Requirements:
*All team members are expected to keep their work area clean, organized and maintain a high level of safety and quality
*Must be able to use basic shop math
*Ability to communicate effectively with other team members, including between shifts
*Ability to proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision or assistance
*Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
*Ability to work independently and in a team environment
*Ability to work within High Performance Team (HPT) guidelines
*Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including spelling, grammar and composition
*Requires basic computer skills
*Requires basic math skills
*Must be able to read and interpret required paperwork with high degree of accuracy
*Must be able to satisfactorily complete testing for operation of forklift/other equipment as required
*Must be able to stand, sit, reach, bend, twist, reach overhead, walk and carry assembled parts
*Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 60 lbs. occasionally on an average 8-hour shift
*Must be able to tolerate a mold shop environment which includes fumes, dust and oil
Qualifications:
*High School Diploma or Equivalency
