Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Project Manager (Assistant Program Manager Acquisition) to support a Product Manager (PdM) from Program Manager Transportation System (PM TS), Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS.) This position will manage the developmental and production processes of acquisition programs that are planned and currently being processed as development efforts, make updates to existing systems to address and obviate obsolescence situations, and produce and deliver new or upgrades systems to meet Army and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) delivery and delivery of products to fielded Army units or units in training. This position is at a client site but may have an option for hybrid/remote work. Occasional travel may be required, consisting of about 3 days per month (up to 25% of the time but is typically much less). Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables.
This position will be focused on demand reduction efforts (think hybrid, fuel savings etc.,) a technical person with engineering background is also valuable, even if they have less experience in program management.
* A Secret US Government Clearance is required for this position. If you do not have a Government Security Clearance, Amentum will sponsor you through the clearance process but a positive determination by the government is required to maintain employment*
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform program and project management activities to include develop project management plans, communications plans, schedule baselines, IMSs, WBSs, and risk management plans.
Develop program milestone plans, schedules, and milestone required documents, including the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
Conduct briefings to include updating program documentation through the various life cycle stages.
Maintain documentation, material, and data for program reviews and Integrated Product Team (IPTs) events.
Perform operational scenarios analyses to recommend solutions that minimize risk.
Conduct analyses and audits to include:
Cost Modeling Analyses
Core Logistics Plans and Analyses
Sustainment BCA Reports, Technical Studies
Physical Configuration Audits (PCA)
Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Analysis
Life Cycle Sustainment Analysis
FMS Case Analyses
Risk and Schedule Reports
Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree and 5+ years of experience with military operations and acquisitions management, Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with military operations and acquisitions management, or 10+ years of experience with military operations and acquisitions management in lieu of a degree.
3+ years familiarity with Project Management in Government Acquisition programs, including the following:
Monitoring activities in order to efficiently utilize resources throughout a project life-cycle
Providing oversight of acquisition projects to ensure that they meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
Monitoring actions and/or projects as appropriate to ensure that resources are available to meet project time frames.
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years conducting Project Management in Government Acquisition programs, to include the following:
PMP certification (PMP or CAPM, or similar).
Monitoring activities in order to efficiently utilize resources throughout a project life-cycle.
Providing oversight of acquisition projects to ensure that they meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
Monitoring actions and/or projects as appropriate to ensure that resources are available to meet project time frames.
