Job Summary: The Validation Engineer is responsible for creating, executing; reporting and cost control of the DVP&R.
Responsibilities:
Review / benchmark of the OEM specifications.
Define together with the Product Engineering Manager all DV/PV and COP tests and communicating the plan and update towards the customer/ OEM.
Final evaluation of the product design conforms the performance and specification requirements defined on the DVP&R and COP plans.
Review the DV, PV and COP test results, including any test failures, and support the Product Engineering Manager and respective Plant Quality Manager by establishing corrective action plans within 5 working days after the test.
Meet the phase exit deliverables (DV completion Phase 3, PV completion Phase 4).
Attend and report test status in the Tech SDT's and submit (at least) monthly the BOS DVP&R overviews to Engineering and Test Manager.
Report potential product safety concerns according the PPSC procedure.
Responsible for keeping control of signed off DVP budget.
Advisory function for product engineering.
Support of R&D department in correlation of FEA and physical test.
Review of FEA/simulation results and include them in the DVP&R overview.
Support the Lead Engineer in their activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or a related field of study
3-5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry
Proficient PC skills (Word, Excel, MS Project)
