We are currently seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join our Team in Troy, Michigan.
Key Responsibilities:
This position owns the full cycle talent acquisition process which includes participating in job fairs and University career events
This role will be the point of contact for employees on all general HR questions and issues, including but not limited to policies, programs, and processes.
Partner with Hiring Managers on the preparation of job descriptions and job requisition forms, ensuring the information is complete and in compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws
Collaborate with HR Solutions Center (HRSC), HRIS, COEs and other HR members locally, regionally and globally
Heavily involved in local, regional and global HR initiatives & projects
Works frequently with local IT and General Affairs for successful onboarding and offboarding activities
Own the on-boarding process (Direct/Indirect/Expat), including new hire communications, materials, and I-9 verifications
First point of contact for immigration-related matters including preparation of appropriate internal approvals
Generate, assist and lead HR reports, KPI tracking, updating HR data and maintaining Shared Team Drive files/folders
Under direction of the Head of HR, enter HR Portal approval requests for changes in employee status for compliance and ongoing data integrity
Assist with semi-annual performance review process
Coordinate training and development activities
Conduct exit/retention interviews, review and analyze the data and report on attrition and suggestions for improvements
Vendor Management (e.g. Relocation services & other)
Advise leaders on a wide range of employee matters
Identify, investigate, and resolve employee related concerns in an appropriate and timely manner
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Must have a minimum of 7+ years relevant automotive experience
High level of confidentiality
HR Project Management skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfort with complexity and ambiguity
Demonstrated ability to interact with team members at all levels
Strong attention to details, listening skills, influencing style and proactive measures is essential for success
Must possess a high degree of sensitivity and change management capabilities
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Excellent MS Office skills
Preferred (Not Required)
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Certifications
Prior global working environment exposure
