Role and Responsibilities
· Successfully setup existing programs and processes with minimum supervision
· Proficiency in setting up either vertical or horizontal CNC multi axis machining centers or multi turret lathes with multi-part holding fixtures including defining work and tool offsets.
· Setup and measurement of tooling in a variety of holders
· Able to adjust tool offsets and/or CDC compensation in order to meet drawing requirements of +/-.0005”
· Ability to read and edit part programs in order to establish initial set-up and mapping the machine out for production readiness.
· Basic troubleshooting skills in identifying/resolving part tolerance issues caused by various setup, programming, tooling issues.
· Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
· Provides training, troubleshooting assistance and overall direction to other operators and general helpers throughout the day.
· General housekeeping in the work area which includes preventative maintenance on the CNC machines.

Work Environment
· While performing the duties of this job, employees work near moving mechanical parts.
· Noise level while in production environment is noisy.
· Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
Required Skills
· High School Diploma
· Ability to read blueprints (GD&T experience a plus)
· 5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines (Horizontal or vertical machining centers, and/or lathes. Haas preferred)
· Knowledge of G&M code required (programming experience a major plus)
· Demonstrable experience with calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
· Ability to edit and alter tool offsets.
· Ability to lead/train operators.
