Description
JOB SUMMARY
Performs essential tasks related to shipment of finished product, client samples, and coordinating inbound freight. This position will work primarily in a warehouse environment. The duties will include verifying products, packages and documentation for shipment, and transfer activity between multiple facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Investigate new packaging technologies and characterization of the distribution environment.
Aid in the develop recommendations on general packaging guidelines for inter-site and external shipping activities.
Verify documentation, stage product for shipment, load trailers for shipment. May include development or supporting shipping studies or packaging development as dedicated by product needs.
Check outgoing product carefully for integrity, completeness, and condition of product packaging. Report and correct discrepancies as directed.
Coordinate international shipping transactions with exporter.
Coordinate inter-site material and product transfers.
Coordinate external shipments to customer directed destination sites.
Record selected material inventory in accordance with standard operating procedures using accurate Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Report all product, labeling, location, or condition issues immediately to supervision.
Maintain facilities as required or assigned to assure a businesslike and impressive distribution center for our customers and guests.
Achieve certification in the use of applicable material handling vehicles (Forklift and pallet jacks).
Train and perform transactions within inventory management system.
Identify and implement cost savings opportunities which may include material changes, process improvements or distribution changes.
Maintain neat, orderly workspace.
Follow all applicable safety precautions.
Navigate through Master Control and its general use.
Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with applicable regulations, standard operating procedures, and industry practice.
Open to a flexible and fluid work environment. Work on any assignment as directed and flexibility to support limited multi-shift operations, training and testing. Assist other teams as necessary.
As needed:
Unload, verify, and stage deliveries for put-away, including accurate execution of associated documentation.
Aid with driving company owned vehicles.
Track the finished goods inventory at warehouse.

Support Agency, customer, and vendor audits as needed. Embrace audit ready all the time practices.

Requirements
Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Packaging, Operations or related business
field. HAZMAT certified. Cold Chain experience. International shipping experience a plus.
