Mary Free Bed Sub-Acute Rehabilitation is looking for Licensed Practical Nurses to join our award-winning team. This is a unique opportunity to expand your clinical expertise and make a real difference in the lives of patients!
We offer exceptional short-term inpatient rehabilitation for patients recovering from an illness, injury or surgery. While most sub-acute rehabilitation programs in Michigan are in nursing homes or retirement communities, ours is on the fifth floor of Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids.
As a member of the SAR team, you'll help patients get back to their lives and plan for the future. Why Mary Free Bed?
You'll get to know your patients and their families - the average length of stay is 12-14 days.
Clinical outcomes rank at the top of regional post-acute care networks.
Five-star staffing ratios include one nurse for every 10-12 patients and one CENA for every 8-10.
We're proud to be honored for the fourth straight year by U.S. News & World Report for Best Short-Term Rehabilitation. Mary Free Bed ranked better than both state and national averages for consistency of nursing staffing, fall prevention, the amount of physical therapy patients received and the number of patients able to return home.
A joint venture with Trinity Health Senior Communities enables us to bring sub-acute care to a new level. Short-term rehabilitation and nursing services are provided to patients with a variety of conditions, including:
Amputation
Cancer
General weakness or deconditioning after illness or surgery
Heart attack and cardiac surgery
Multiple injuries
Orthopedic surgery after-care
Stroke
Patients receive daily physical and occupational therapy that fuels functional improvement above the national average, and a team of physician extenders are on-site five days a week for routine rounding and clinical support.
