Dematic has an immediate need for a Technical Curriculum Developer within the Technical Communications & Training Department.
In this role, you will develop world-class online or in-person, instructor-led training deliverables and establish learning pathways that promote professional development and technical expertise for external audiences across North America.
You will work with subject matter experts to identify your target audiences' training needs and apply proven instructional design theories, practice, and methods that enable learners to acquire knowledge, skills, and competencies in topics related to industrial automation in an effective and engaging manner.
Our Technical Curriculum Developer will have excellent writing skills and the ability to translate technical processes into easy-to-understand activities/simulations. Additionally, our ideal candidates will have experience developing/delivering training and, above all, a passion for learning.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000 to $140,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do In This Role
Developers collaborate with trainers, technical writers, and other SMEs to create training materials for customer operation and maintenance training, and other shared development goals.
Work with audience representatives to understand training needs and collaborate with SMEs across Dematic (including developers, trainers, technical writers, engineers, and others) to build technically accurate training.
Develop complex individual and group technical training courses and activities for employees and customers.
Monitor the effectiveness of course materials, review feedback, and modify/revise course materials as instructed.
Innovate to create new course materials.
Become an expert on the application, operation, and maintenance of assigned products, processes, tools, and services.
May identify, evaluate, and obtain training programs and materials from external vendors.
What We Are Looking For:
Education: Typically, BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree.
Exceptionally strong English communication and writing skills required.
Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and set priorities with minimal direction.
Ability to understand complex, technical information.
Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation for a variety of audiences.
Ability to follow procedures and apply standards, styles, and templates to ensure common documentation look and feel.
Flexible, with the ability to switch activities and refocus nimbly.
Proficient with a variety of software products used for authoring (e.g., Microsoft Office products, Adobe products), and ability to quickly learn new software.
Knowledge of material handling systems (equipment and software) used in a manufacturing/warehouse environment a plus.
Candidates must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time.
