POSITION TITLE: Life Skills Technicians (LST) or Peer Support Specialist (PSS)
(Primary Responsibilities with ACT)
POSITION STATUS: 24 hours weekly / Regular Part-Time
Non-exempt / LST, AML Union or PSS, Nonunion
SALARY RANGE: $16.92/hr to $22.00/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs supportive tasks in the care, training, safety and general well-being of recipients in Community Living Supports/Community Support. Provide a full range of direct care services
in such areas as leisure/recreation, communication, religious, cultural, and educational activities; vocational pursuits; activities related to entertainment, development of work attitudes; development of living skills; volunteerism; relationship building; assistive technology; environmental modifications; and family support. Implement and provide only services assigned or determined in the Person-Centered Plan. This position requires flexible hours and days to include evenings, nights and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum requirements; High school diploma or GED. Prefer one year of experience working in the Human Services Field. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Michigan driver’s license. Additionally for Peer Support Specialist: Must meet all standards outlined by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to include having a severe mental illness. MDHHS Peer Support Specialist Certification is required. If successful applicant is not currently certified, they will be required to attend the MDHHS Peer Support Specialist Certification training and obtain certification.
