This exciting and high-impact position will be part of the Dematic Robotics team focused on AMR Robot technologies. Dematic is the world-leading, fast-growing, innovative frontrunner in the development of mobile robotics, robotic fleet controllers, and cloud-based fleet logistics management systems. Dematic produces solutions that include fully autonomous robots that move and transport items in production, warehouse, and distribution centers without manual intervention or permanent conveying systems. Mobile robots are frequently paired with other Dematic subsystems to deliver a comprehensive 4-walls solution.

Core Responsibilities:
Trusted adviser and subject matter expert in mobile robotics both to clients and internal teams
Evaluate, optimize, and adopt onboard vehicle software, associated electrical components, and mechanical design components
Evaluate, optimize, and adopt offboard vehicle software
Evaluate, optimize, and adopt fleet management software
Provide technical support for AMR Engineers on best practices, offering hand-on support when needed
Recommend productivity improvements, schedule reductions, cost reductions and improvements in customer satisfaction
Guide technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to AMR Engineers
Provide detailed new equipment and acceptance testing specifications
Thoroughly characterize and document the base line performance and capability of each product
Assist technical writers in developing and maintaining effective operations and maintenance specifications
Collaborate with the other internal groups on issues related to AMR products
Tasks and Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
Experience with Mobile Automation product related Software and interconnectivity
Experience with OT and IT infrastructure
Basic experience with execution of Risk Assessments
Knowledge of electrical controlling systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and performance integration-related applications
Passion for standards and rules with the skill to translate the requirements into clear instructions for your stakeholders
1-3 years of mobile automation hardware/software experience
You are fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical/Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
Expert level understanding of the principles used in electronic/electrical systems, mobile robotic systems (onboard and offboard software), 2D and 3D vision systems, fixed transport systems, and data collection systems.
Strong "hands-on" capability in the installation and commissioning of robotic / vision-based systems in a production environment
Ability to evaluate, test, and validate a comprehensive mobile automation software stack and associated electronic components
Knowledgeable in the use of test equipment and calibration associated standards
Proficient with C# evaluation and programming
Proficient with PLC programming (Rockwell or Siemens)
6-8 years of hardware/software and/or functional design experience in the automation industry
Excellent organizational, analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills; ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
Travel Requirements:
Up to 20% national/international travel
