Field Service Technician

Nidec Minster Corporation, the largest manufacturer of material forming presses in the United States has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician. This person will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to assist customers with their Minster supplied equipment, supervising/instructing personnel in setting up equipment in customer plants, training customer's personnel on proper maintenance and operation of Minster equipment.DUTIES

• Provide technical and maintenance support to Minster's customers with their metal forming equipment

• Commission new and remanufactured metal forming equipment in customers' plants

• Audit customers' metal forming equipment and report all repair requirements found

• Provide written and oral reports in English in an accurate and professional manner

• Promote service parts and preventative maintenance contracts

• Work flexible hours to support customer service needs - primarily day shift with some off-shift support

BENEFITS

• Guaranteed 45 hours/week

• Salary range $70k-$85k with opportunities for additional $10k-$40k in compensation

• Company provided service vehicle, specialty tools, telephone and laptop

• $75 daily per diem for domestic travel, $95 daily per diem for international travel; paid weekly

• Ability to keep accumulated travel points for personal use

• Eligible for 18+ days of paid time off immediately upon hire

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of machinery mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and maintenance processes

• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

• Able to work effectively with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication skills

• Extensive domestic and international travel is required- 90%
