Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a finance associate with 4+ years of experience to join our Finance Practice Group in our Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Dallas, Houston, or Washington DC office. Alternate Foley office locations may be considered based on business need and the candidate's experience. Qualified candidate must have sophisticated drafting experience and ability to manage a range of both traditional financing transactions and projects as well as other complex financing arrangements, including syndicated and bilateral credit facilities, commercial paper programs, acquisition financings, derivative transactions and other structured finance transactions as well asset securitization transactions etc. The ideal candidate will have the ability to first-chair complex transactions and projects, as well as train and mentor more junior associates. CPA is a bonus but not required.
Candidate must have excellent analytical, writing, communications and interpersonal skills, and must be well organized and committed to client service. Candidate will be expected to manage multiple transactions and priorities and to develop relationships with colleagues and clients.
We are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly motivated finance associate who seeks significant client contact and is willing to work collaboratively, counseling clients, working alongside more seasoned partners, and investing a significant amount of time in client development, as well as client counseling. Experience with and commitment to understanding and solving complex business issues is critical. Large law firm experience preferred. Top academics and experience required.
To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the bar of the state(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice. Timely admission to the state bar coinciding with the office of hire will be a condition of employment.
