Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data entry of wastewater testing reports into WWSS and city water report as required by WW permits
Gather samples from WW, send to testing lab, adjust chemical treatment as needed
Test samples for PH, CO, DO, and other testing media
Preventative maintenance of wastewater pumps, sprayers, testing equipment, etc.
Monthly, quarterly, and yearly preventative maintenance of all machinery and equipment in wastewater location
Daily, quarterly, and monthly inspections to maintain Environmental Groundwater Discharge Permit, SWPP and SPCCP for Fennville site
Assist with the implementation of safety policies, procedures, training programs and standard operating procedures
Assist in coordinating site safety initiatives
Identify safety and environmental hazards, recommend, and implement safety control measures
Provide support and participate in safety inspections, incident investigations, and compliance issues
Conduct regular safety, health and environmental inspections and audits of work areas and assure that corrective action is taken and completed where deficiencies are noted
Demonstrate behaviors in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries. Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
Maintain documentation and records in an organized fashion
Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF), HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Follow and comply to OSHA requirements for Respiratory equipment. "Personal protective equipment shall be worn in such a manner that does not interfere with the seal of the facepiece to the face of the user." "Tight-fitting respirators shall not be worn by employees who have facial hair or any condition that interferes with the face-to-facepiece seal or valve function."
Regular, reliable attendance is necessary
Perform all work conforming to Conagra Foods, federal, state, and local standards and codes.
Exhibit flexibility when required for special projects or any areas of the facility when needed.
Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
High school diploma
Computer proficiency, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CAD
Industrial wastewater licenses, or the ability to obtain them within 18 months. Licenses required are A-1f land surface disposal, C-1b aerated lagoons
State of MI Stormwater Operator certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months. The license required is A-1i storm water management - Industrial Site
Haz-Mat training
Assist in coordination of Haz-Mat response with designated third-party response unit
Must be able to effectively use the English language, in verbal and written form
Must be able to effectively communicate and interpret work instructions and safety rules
Able to lift 40 pounds consistently
Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces
Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends
Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment
Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
Positive attitude, team player
