Position: Quality Systems Manager
Reports to: Vice President of Service
Employment: Full time / Exempt
Position Description:
This position leads our quality team. The QS Manager is a hands-on role, directly responsible for the design & continual improvement of our documented quality systems, across all manufacturing stages. This role works closely with other departments to ensure the production of high-quality product that meets the demands of our customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sets compliance objectives and leads continuous improvement efforts to ensure key targets are achieved. Prepares & presents management reports on quality issues & trends
- Plays a lead role in directing & performing customer and industry-required audits and inspections
- In collaboration with the team, reviews production practices and makes recommendations to ensure conformance to quality procedures and standards
- Directs the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and GP12 to meet customer requirements, ensuring all customer documentation is kept current. Creates & conducts the Gage RR (repeatability and reproducibility) for PPAP
- Addresses customer quality concerns utilizing root cause analysis and corrective action of customer complaints. Directly manages incoming / outgoing inspections, including setting specification on new products
- Responsible for authoring & training of quality-related policies and procedures
- Provides continuous quality oversight and promotes quality performance throughout the company
- Develops expertise in GRL capabilities, operations, and quality systems
- Manage requirements for our Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A passion for quality
- Working knowledge or certified in IATF 16949, FFC 22000, ISO14001, GMP policies or possesses equivalent certifications
- Proven ability in fostering collaborative relationships with all departments in determining the best product possible for our customers
- Familiarity with problem solving methodology (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, etc.)
- Strong “people skills” and adaptable personality with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” work style
- Independent thinker with strong organizational & analytical skills
- High level of computer skills required (Microsoft Suites)
- Proven supervisory skills
- Certified in HACCP or Food Security preferred
Work Experience Requirements:
- Three to five years QSC experience within a manufacturing environment, including direct involvement with process audits & inspections
- Experience in Automotive or Food industry is ideal
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study OR equivalent years of work experience

- Employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, walk, stoop & lift up to 30 lbs.
