Due to a newly aquired annual job, ACAL Precision Products is searching for 1-2 CNC machinist/operators to come join our team. We encourage any machinist/operator from all backgrounds and experience levels to apply. Pay is negotiable based on experience and education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to keep a safe and clean work environment
- Successfully operate the following machines:
- Hurco/Mazak Mills
- HAAS/Mazak Lathes
- Drill press
- Hydraulic Press
- Balancer (will train)
- Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required
- Use of basic measuring tools and gauges to complete quality checks and verify conformance of finished product to print specifications
- Tool adjustments and changes as necessary
- General cleanliness of machine and general area
- Maintains accurate quality and production information
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
Required Experience/Skills:
- CNC mill/lathe experience
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and prints (GD&T)
- Ability to use basic measuring equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, bore guages, etc.)
- A working knowledge of modern tooling
- Basic Math Skills
Perferred/Additional Skills:
- Experience with Hurco/Mazak mills and HAAS/Mazak lathes
- Ability to set up and program jobs utilizing conversational programming software
- Mastercam knowledge is a plus
- Hi-Lo experience is helpful
Work Environment Requirements:
- Be able to work in a general manufacturing environment with varying conditions.
- Standing for the majority of the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- 40+ Hour weeks (overtime is offered)
- Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:30pm
