This position reports to the NDT Supervisor and is responsible for supporting the applicable NDT processes. These processes are X-ray (digital detector array) with automatic defect recognition (ADR) and FPI (fluorescent penetrant inspection). The NDT Tech is responsible for supporting safety, quality as well as production within the foundry. Support the Level 1 X-ray & FPI operators. X-ray program maintenance (technique/image quality).ADR program maintenance (repeatability/dependability).Works to resolve assigned NDT, safety and quality concerns.NDT related preventative maintenance.NDT process and NDT Level l audits.Supports radiation safety practices. Observes and practices all applicable lockout & tag out requirements.Observes and practices all applicable personal protective equipment requirements. Trouble shoot, repair and maintain NDT equipment (personal tools are required)Achieves and maintains Level 1 NDT certification requirements per Written Practice QLTP-152 which is based on SNT-TC-1A.
