Position Summary:
The Welder is responsible for fabricating and rebuilding parts for use with equipment and machinery to prevent and minimize downtime.
Performs welding machine set-ups and welds.
Reads blueprints or rough sketches in order to fabricated and construct design.
Fabricates steel to specified measurements for the design.
Performs trouble shooting skills for repairs.
Performs Arc and Wire feed welding to perform repairs and new designs.
Uses cutting torches for repairs and new designs.
Operate a hi-lo to move large steel objects for repairs or new designs.
Position Qualifications:
6 months MIG and TIG welding experience
Technical training in welding preferred
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to operate a hi-lo and obtain license
Ability to work independently and as a team
Proven safety consciousness
Self-motivated
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong mathematical skills
Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment
