Green Gables Haven is the domestic violence program serving Barry County. Support Staff answer phone calls and respond appropriately to crisis line, maintain the overall function and safety of the shelter program, process client intake/exit, assist shelter clients with their daily needs, enforce communal living policies, participate in general housekeeping, and some data entry.
Desirable candidates are students of social work or related field - but all candidates will be considered. This is an entry-level, paid position.
Qualifications:
High school or equivalent. (Required)
Must pass a criminal background check.
Availability to work a variety of rotating shifts including weekends, evenings, overnight, and holidays are required.
Must have a complete understanding of confidentiality.
Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, use of the Internet and Email Communications) are a must.
