Essential Functions include (but are not limited to):
· Answers telephones in a cordial and professional manner; directs calls, takes messages, offers assistance if appropriate; maintains UMCH customer service standards as directed by Leadership Team.
· Is knowledgeable of Agency programs, services, and special events/activities.
· Monitors and records traffic into and out of the building by ensuring all guests sign in and out.
· Greets, directs and interacts with staff, visitors and participants, exhibiting a professional and positive attitude at all times, while following and enforcing visitor protocol.
· Performs all Child Development Center billing, meal counts entry into Procare; provides required reports for CACFP Billing; sets up and maintains parent accounts, trouble shoots, applies payments and account notations.
· Maintains record keeping and distribution in accordance with established policy and procedure.
· Provides clerical support to staff and departments; assists with tasks and projects as assigned by direct supervisor or leadership team representative.
· Maintains and protects the confidentiality of participants, employees, and the Agency overall.
· Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the Reception Desk and Lobby.
· Maintains agency signage at the Service Desk, Lobby and front doors.
· Secures documents and packages left for pick-up and follows protocol for release.
· Retrieves mail and alerts the Executive Assistant for distribution.
Qualifications: (Preferred prior exposure to fund-raising processes and database management)
· Must exhibit strong organizational and planning skills.
· Must demonstrate initiative, motivation and the ability to work independently and in a group setting.
· Must exhibit effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
· Must exhibit a positive, flexible and patient demeanor with program participants, colleagues and members of the community-at-large and possess relatability to individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
· Must be able to relate to individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
· Must exhibit a commitment to treating all people with dignity and respect.
· Must be able to model communicational integrity; does not engage in workplace rumors and negativity.
· Must be able to lift program/office materials up to twenty (20) pounds.
