Job Details

The primary purpose of your position is to assist residents in activities of daily living that are outlined in this job description, and may be directed by your supervisors, i.e., Nurse Team Leader, Neighborhood Charge Nurse, Neighborhood Coordinator or Certified Nurse Aide.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report all changes in the residents condition to the Nurse Team Leader/Neighborhood Charge. Nurse as soon as practical.
• Report all accidents/incidents you observe on the shift as they occur.
• Make resident comfortable.
• Report all complaints and grievances made by residents to the Charge Nurse.
• Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Answer resident call lights promptly.
• Ensure that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently.
• Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her needs and wishes are being met.
• Complete visual checks and document in POC. Document frequent checks on the clipboard.
• Immediately notify the Nurse Leader/Neighborhood Nurse of any resident leaving/missing from the facility.
• Check oxygen tank levels.
• Ensure Residents identity before administering service, serving meals, etc.
• Prepare residents for meals; wash hands, position tables, place clothing protectors, take to/from dining room, etc.
• Assist with passing fluids in the dining room.
• Serve food trays, Assist with cutting foods, providing condiments and assist in dining room supervision.
• Assist residents with identifying food arrangements (i.e., informing resident with vision problems of foods that are on his/her tray, where it is located, if it is hot/cold, etc.).

Shift:

• 7am-2pm
• All positions/shifts include a part-time schedule with rotating weekends
• Work experience opportunities are available for high school students

Wages:

• Base Rate - $13.73 per hour
