Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, provide mechanical expertise and cost effective solutions for multiple facility construction projects that meet budget, quality, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage Architects, Engineers, Vendors and Contractors for facility construction projects from design through project closeout.
- Prepare RFP’s for General Contractor cost comparisons and selection.
- Plan and implement building and equipment MEP/FP requirements.
- Coordinate with Corporate Development Equipment Teams to ensure the building space meets production needs.
- Conduct Value Engineering for best facility design, function, and lowest cost.
- Analyze and calculate the technical requirements to produce drawings, specifications, and cost estimates (e.g. architectural, structural & mechanical)
- Handle multiple projects in a shortened time frame to meet customer requirements
- Coordinate maintenance work request
- Purchase tools and materials for maintenance team use
- Issue maintenance contracts
- Coordinate with General Contractor for building repairs
- Assist Safety, Health & Environmental Team with technical information regard building equipment
- Maintaining day to day status of fire alarm system
- Respond to urgent request and organizing labor teams to complete these urgent request
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or relevant experience.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, construction and maintenance of industrial facilities.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
- Successfully deliver all projects and assignments while meeting expectations of customers
- Identify cost saving opportunities for the organization
- Optimization of all processes to provide reliability for facility and manufacturing customers
- Effectively communicate with team members and customers
- Serve as Project Manager for small and large projects overseeing all disciplines
- Identifies and resolves complex problems and applies problem solving skills in order to resolve issues
- Proficient in AutoCAD with ability to read and modify prints
- Deliver all projects according to schedule while meeting customers’ expectations.
- Manage budget and minimize overall cost for projects
- Minimize interruption to customers as projects are completed
- Development of standard work and part list to support transition of equipment/process to customers
- Team player focused on team and organization goals
- Ability to identify creative solutions to resolve short and long term issues
