To assist the maintenance foreman and maintenance planner in administrative functions, scheduling and planning of maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment failures, and coordination of maintenance personal. Provide Foreman coverage as needed.
This role will work closely with the maintenance foreman and reliability manager for training with the potential or transitioning into the maintenance foreman role within the next 6-12 months. During this time training and performance goals must be met before advancing to the foreman role. Regular performance reviews will be conducted to ensure alignment of progression of goals and objectives.
Supervise team of approximately 14 mechanics.
Support, enforce, and implement all Plant rules and procedures.
Assist with the administration of the RPM Model and reliability activities.
Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling, spare parts inventory and procurement procedures, MP2 Work Order Database, plant practices, operator rate programs, safety contacts, hiring, promotion/transfer, disciplinary practices, safety (CORE) investigations, VWI, SAR, audits, and reviews.
Participate, as required, on Reliability Teams and root cause investigations to ensure asset health and reliability is maximized.
Ensure craftspeople understand work assigned, receive proper paperwork, and turn in feedback for each work order assigned to them.
Ensure craftspeople perform quality work in a safe manner.
Assist Foreman/ Planner in developing scope and job estimates.
Collect/review Feedback Forms daily as jobs are completed. Identifies any new work requests or work orders needed as a result of information gathered and review with Forman/Planner.
Work closely with the Planner and Maintenance Foreman to identify opportunities for better PPM routines to minimize future unscheduled downtime. Help prepare new PPM routines as needed.
Capable of providing individual and group instruction to develop maintenance personnel in all areas of plant maintenance.
Must have extensive experience and knowledge of equipment disassembly and rebuild/repair.
Must be capable of organizing manpower, equipment/tools and parts to complete assigned projects in the most economical and efficient means possible.
Must exhibit the technical competency to rapidly diagnose and repair mechanical malfunctions (adapting to and practicing new innovations).
Must have basic computer competency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Prior experience in computerized maintenance management systems is a plus.
As with all positions at the plant, overtime is mandatory and regular and predictable attendance is an essential factor.
