Overview:
As a Supplier Scheduler with Adient, you will work directly with suppliers, production, materials and inventory management to ensure the appropriate materials are available to meet the production schedule at multiple plants. You will manage inventory to time the shipment of specific materials in line with production schedules and inventory goals. This individual will work with international suppliers to procure the appropriate materials for production.
Core Responsibilities:
First line contact with both plants and suppliers for all supply related issues
Manage day to day interaction and relationships with international suppliers
Review and analyze weekly MRP schedules
Monitor shipments in transit
Maintain weekly supplier releases
Understand and manage risks to minimize supply interruptions at plants
Prioritize and react with urgency to possible impacts to production
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain sufficient inventory levels for all production related components
Maintain and monitor planning parameters in order to ensure system accuracy
Review KPI's and work to achieve team goals
Communicate and work with other departments including materials management, quality, engineering, launch, program management, logistics, etc.
Any additional duties as assigned and deemed necessary by the team leads
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or other related area
1-3 years of experience in Materials and/or supply chain roles
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience of materials planning ideally in the automotive or manufacturing environment
Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies
Understanding of supplier relationships and some experience of working with suppliers
Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills
Knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar
Experience with QAD/MFG Pro
