Kirtland Community College is looking to recruit a Housing and Student Life Director to supervise our BRAND NEW, ON-CAMPUS HOUSING FACILITY. The position will additionally work in conjunction with Student Services and other institutional departments to plan activities and engage the student population.
The compensatory package for this position includes Housing.
Duties
- Maintain application process and operational functions of the on-campus housing facilities.
- Guide the development and execution of residential life student programming.
- Serve as a conduct officer, track violations of the housing handbook, and maintain records.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students with varying abilities and diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing for publications, marketing, and recruitment materials.
- Participate in recruitment events to promote Campus Housing.
- Manage housing preparation for summer camps, conferences, internships, and programs, etc. when applicable.
- Require a regular work day with additional responsibilities in the evenings, on weekends and on college break days as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor within the scope of this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Two to Four Years of Experience in Student Services, Housing, or a Related Field.
- Demonstrated leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive and effective relationships across the campus and community.
- Relate successfully in one-on-one and group situations with persons representing diverse social and cultural identities and interests.
- Experience in program planning, assessment, and development.
