Successfully manage the small group sales experience for an assigned territory, including benefit consultation, product and solution education, implementation, and issue resolution in order to reach annual new business, retention and cross-selling sales goals. Form a partnerships and consultative relationships with groups/agents/managing and/or general agencies when it comes to day-to-day service, quoting, and renewals.
Implement strategic plans; advise leadership on potential issues and necessary adjustments to plan to ensure agency partnership success; explore possible jeopardy situations and develop sales and service strategies to retain the group.
Build strong consultative relationship with agencies and group customers; solve for needs related to our offerings; assist with cross-sell opportunities.
Identify complex servicing issues, refer through appropriate channels and ensure proper and timely resolution for customers; address day-to-day account questions, concerns, and service needs in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with team leadership and underwriting to finalize renewal rates; deliver rates to agency/customer, propose benefit solutions, quoting, and secure renewal.
Participate in health fairs, educational events, marketing campaigns and other activities related to educating customers and securing the renewal.
Provide guidance and support to Senior Account Representatives in their region; assist with onboarding, answering general process questions, and troubleshooting accounts.
Perform other related duties as required.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required.
Three (3) years of experience in sales and marketing or business development required.
Valid Michigan Accident, Life, and Health Insurance License.
Valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.
Excellent negotiating and influencing skills, including public speaking and presentation skills.
Understanding of group insurance dynamics.
