GDIT is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to support the NIH NHLBI Information Technology and Applications Center (ITAC) application portfolio, including several critical applications. Our work aims to implement systems and services to support NHLBI's core resource planning, allocation and management lifecycle, and other capabilities. In this role, you will work with business stakeholders to define requirements, collaborate with team members to analyze issues, and provide status updates to NHLBI stakeholders.
We expect this position to remain primarily remote. However you should live within a reasonable commuting distance to the client site in Bethesda, MD.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Capture and define requirements with a variety of techniques, including BDD-style specifications, API specifications, user stories, use cases and mockups
Conduct interviews and studies with product owners, users and other stakeholders to identify requirements
Develop as-is and to-be models
Analyze existing systems interfaces and documents
Describe and execute test cases
Collaborate with the team on agile activities, including estimation, iterative planning and retrospectives
Manage requirements in Jira using a backlog and collaborate with product-owners to prioritize the backlog
Manage the flow of development from idea to release
Troubleshoot and investigate issues reported by business users and provide ongoing communication about status
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline (or equivalent) and eight years related experience
Experience with Jira
Experience with wireframe design and workflow modeling tools, such as Balsamiq or Visio
Experience working in an Agile environment
Must be able to obtain a NIH Public Trust
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Familiarity with Grants Management
Familiarity with NIH and/or NHLBI
Good understanding of industry trends and applying user experience/user interface (UI/UX) design methods
Experience in contributing across the software life-cycle, with an emphasis on analysis.
