GDIT seeks an enthusiastic professional to join our centralized workplace accommodation team. As a Workplace Accommodations Analys t, you will respond to employee and applicant requests for accommodations based on a medical/mental or religious need. This will involve leading the interactive process; partnering with stakeholders to ensure accommodation requests are thoroughly reviewed and accommodations approved are reasonable and effective.
You will perform the following job responsibilities:
Acts as a point of contact for the workplace accommodation team.
Receive and respond to employee requests for a workplace accommodation.
Prepare and send correspondence to employees and other stakeholders.
Monitor receipt of medical documentation from employees and medical providers.
Make timely determinations and implement accommodations.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of each request as it progresses using a centralized tool
Attend meetings with various programs to align on accommodation requests.
Proactively assess the risk to the business and apply sound judgement to promptly escalate potential concerns to the Workplace Accommodations Manager.
Participate in special projects as required to include preparing and delivering training and conducting research.
Yearly travel may be requested
Qualifications in order to be considered:
Candidates should have 2-4 years of related human resources experience
6 years of related experience OR a Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience
Familiarity with the Americans with Disability Act
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in both Microsoft Word, Outlook & EXCEL (pivot tables, Vlookups)
