Geosyntec is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Specialist to serve as an internal subject matter expert to the organization on immigration matters. The position provides high-volume project management and administration of U.S. and global employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant visa, work permit, and permanent residency application processes in coordination with candidates, employees, managers, and external counsel. The role is responsible for compiling, updating, and tracking various immigration data and statuses while ensuring compliance with global immigration and employment laws, and company policies and procedures. The role would preferably sit in our Corporate office in Boca Raton, FL with the option to be based in another office location for the right candidate. A Hybrid office/home work program option is available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer and manage global immigration processes for business visitor visas, employment visas/work permits, permanent residency applications and other related travel and immigration needs across the company.
Manage various immigration-related projects from planning to execution and completion; serve as the specialist driving immigration cases with external counsel.
Ensure employee and employer compliance with company immigration policies and immigration laws.
Assist with global visa, work permit, and other immigration research, support letters, applications, and internal procedures, including U.S., Canada, Australia, Sweden, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Finland, Spain, and others.
Maintain a close relationship with Talent Acquisition, HR, employees and managers regarding immigration cases, request case-related information as needed, and keep stakeholders apprised of case updates.
Continually educate managers and employees on work authorizations, visas, and green card applications and renewal processes, including organizing information sessions and kick-off calls as needed.
Liaise with the recruiting and hiring teams to review candidate work authorization and answer candidate immigration questions; escalate as needed.
Regularly provide instruction and information to employees, and managers regarding immigration practices and procedures.
Review accuracy of documentation and data entry for new hire and reverified I-9 forms and E-Verify program (U.S.), and Right to Work checks abroad; audit annually and ensure compliance with global immigration laws and timelines.
Administer and manage annual and ongoing U.S. visa processes such as Student F-1 (CPT/OPT/STEM), H-1B CAP and extensions, E-3, TN, L-1, B-1,visa application processes including but not limited to internal and external communications, Notice of Filing, Public Access Files, Prevailing Wage analysis, visa support letters, I-983 Training Plans, job descriptions, and gathering and reviewing employee and immigration documents.
Administer and manage company sponsored U.S. PERM green card processes and related applications for employees including timeline discussions with managers, analysis of PERM minimum job and prevailing wage requirements and recruitment efforts in coordination with external council.
Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for attorney review and/or filing with the appropriate government agencies; responsible for sharing immigration updates with relevant stakeholders.
Administer RFE and immigration audit requests and inspection site visits as needed.
Compile, customize, and process immigration reports for various internal and external stakeholders including monthly visa status expiration reports.
Create and maintain immigration procedures and stakeholder educational documents on company intranet.
Administrative support tasks including PO set-up, invoice processing, tracking immigration related expenses, and communicating costs to branch/department and regional financial managers.
Continually identify opportunities for improving processes, tools and efficiencies in immigration areas, maintaining and creating related procedures as necessary.
Support the TAC Operations Manager with various day-to-day immigration and other compliance tasks.
Perform other HR compliance or immigration related duties of varying complexity and confidentiality, as assigned.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in human resources, psychology, or related discipline and at least 5 years of related HR/legal professional experience; or over 9 years of relevant experience supplemented by coursework in field; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the responsibilities of the position.
