Maxar is seeking Embedded Systems Engineer in join our Sensor Programs team in Ypsilanti, MI that develops specialized, innovative new sources of geospatial data, analytic methods, software and engineering services. Our work transforms how customers support global mapping and intelligence missions at scale, revealing unique information and insights. We contribute to integrated space solutions that solve our customers most complex problems by harnessing and applying disruptive technologies.
What will you be doing?
Supporting a multi-disciplinary team in the innovation, development, and evaluation of advanced capability RF and optical systems.
Opportunities to work with and learn from community experts while developing innovative new systems.
Performing requirements analysis, system modelling, development, verification, and testing, ensuring system requirement satisfaction.
Updating and utilizing toolsets to generate, manipulate and test system data.
Take on increasing ownership and maturation of complex models used to design, test and optimize system performance.
Develop hardware and software for embedded devices.
Minimum Requirements:
U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technology fields.
2 years related experience.
Programming skills (C++, C, MATLAB, Python, or similar).
Preferred:
Current/active SCI.
5 or more more years related experience.
Radar system design or Software Defined Radio experience a plus.
FPGA Design experience a plus, particularly Xilinx/AMD Zynq SoCs.
PCB Design and Layout a plus.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:$53,000.00 - $89,000.00 annually.
