Summary:
Entry level Materials Analyst role. Works with suppliers, production, materials and inventory management to ensure the appropriate materials are available to meet the production schedule. Coordinates with inventory to time the shipment of specific materials in line with production schedules and inventory goals. Works with suppliers to procure the appropriate materials for production.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support daily business in responsiblity area, set up, and regularly review roadmaps with Plant Material Mgrs
- Define improvement and cost saving projects
- Meet profit plan for logistics in plant
- Control and review new programs, ensure conformity with PLUS, MEQ and 0-100-3
- Regular reviews with plants on new projects/launches for the whole supply chain
- Ensure Adient Standards to be used (PLUS,BOS,MEQ…) in logistic department in plants
- Support new product / line launches during ramp up period
- Plan and design material flow/logistics for new projects/launches during all PLUS-Phases
- Materials & Logistics Planning for plant location analyses
- Support plant logistic department in Materials System (MFG/Pro) in case of product changes, new product launches and phase outs together with plant logistics manager
- Co-operate to define targets, roadmap for improvement with plant logistics manager
- Regular review with plants on targets during daily business (logistic costs incl. packaging and transportation, inventories, obsolescence, timings, ..)
- Use the standard logistics packages for quotes for new projects, ensure that correct logistics database is available for RFQ‘s
Required Education and Experience:
- Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent experience required
- Three (3) years Supply Chain experience required?
