Summary:
West Michigan Molding is seeking experienced Material Handlers. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience. Will consider applicants that have a similar background in lieu of material handling experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate equipment and powered forklift in a safe manner. You will ensure that equipment is kept clean and free of debris. You'll also perform daily safety inspections and communicate problems or issues to the Injection Molding Supervisor.
Move product, components, or materials to or from production areas, warehouse locations, staging areas in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
Follow work instructions related to the position and other departmental requirements.
Know and practice plant safety policies.
Maintain a clean, safe work area by following plant 5’s policies.
Follow standard processes such as FIFO.
Respond quickly to material requests and communicate with team members appropriately.
Assist all material handlers to ensure work is processed as efficiently as possible.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand/walk for the eight-hour work shift
Ability to lift 50 pounds 25% of the eight-hour work shift
Ability to push, pull, grip and grasp repetitively for the eight-hour work shift
Ability to withstand warm conditions during the summer months
Occasional stooping, kneeling or crouching
