Load parts on conveyor, process parts through pretreatment and coating application, and unload parts from conveyor.Setup and operate powder coating application equipment, including changing or adjusting spray guns, cartridge filters and final filters.Operate and maintain rack burn off oven, cleaning racks as needed.Maintain temperatures, pH, and/or conductivity levels of pretreatment system.Troubleshooting, as needed, to solve any coating problems.Perform quality checks, such as film thickness, adhesion, and curing.Visually inspect coated products for appearance to maintain quality production level.Maintain level of powder in feed hoppers.Perform material handling duties as required, including operation of a walk behind liftMaintain 5S and Safety by keeping work area neat, clean and organized. Support and participate in Lean activities. Clean area around and inside powder booth at specified intervals.Train in all facets of the department including being line lead for the day.
High School diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience preferred. Machining background a plus.Ability to read a blueprintKnowledge of process instruction sheets, inspection, layout sheets, or gauging required to monitor and accurately measure parts. Fill out production logs and bar code labor.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player and the ability to adapt to changing roles and changing priorities.Comprehend terminology related to equipment, methods, tooling, gauging which are encountered in the powder coating area's daily operations. Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt to changing roles and changing priorities.
