As the Production Manager, you will:

• Create and maintain production schedules, utilizing Skytrons ERP system; communicating schedules to
• to appropriate teams and key stakeholders
• Collaborate with Planning, Material Handling, and Shipping and Receiving teams to ensure orders are fulfilled in a manner that reduces waste and aligns with ship schedules
• Provide quick responses to reported production issues and proactively work to identify problems within the production process
• Create and update work instructions and check sheets for assigned teams, ensuring work performed adheres to outlined procedures
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and 5S activities for assigned teams, including verification and auditing of processes and results
• Lead improvement efforts related to workflow, efficiency, and process for boom assembly, testing, and packaging areas; ensuring updates are documented, properly communicated, and meet compliance requirements
• Conduct daily team meetings ensuring working teams are properly informed related to upcoming assignments, hot orders, quality or safety concerns, upcoming events and deadlines, and other pertinent business topics
• Perform quality checks for work product of assigned teams
• Ensure orders and documentation are accurate and timely
• Communicate with Quality and Product Management to address potential or identified quality defects and concerns related to product standards
• Ensure safety standards are followed by all team members, generating ideas to create a safer work environment
• Train, coach, and manage assigned team members, handling corrective discipline matters when necessary
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other key stakeholders on boom product launches, ensuring a smooth transition to production
• Assist with boom assembly, as determined by workload needs
• Oversee the process of ordering miscellaneous products and any new or replacement tools
• Be Responsible for routings creation and maintenance, utilizing Skytron’s ERP system
• Work closely with the Buyer / Planner II and Director of Operations to respond to unforeseen issues

• Have an Associate’s Degree and/or 3-5 years of supervisory experience (strongly preferred)
• Have 3-5 years of previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center (strongly preferred)
• Have prior experience and/or training in electrical circuits
• Have proven experience leading/making efficiency improvements in manufacturing operations
• Possess the ability to read and follow blueprints and drawings
• Read and understand electrical testing equipment, ensuring equipment is in accordance with NEC and NFPA 99
• Be able to safely operate a hi-lo and picker, obtaining and maintaining an appropriate license
• Be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Be able to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally and up to 50 lbs of force frequently
